Jim Jacob

Director of Development & Construction, The Mayor

What the team says:

Jim knows somebody everywhere that he goes. We like to joke about it and so does his family!

Why listen to him?

Jim has spent the last 30 years in all aspects of real estate, development and construction. Most recently until year end 2015, he worked as Construction Manager and Owner Rep for the $120 million Cross Border Xpress, an airport terminal on Otay Mesa linking the United States with the Tijuana Airport with direct bridge access. He was the liaison between the Cross Border Protection, Border Patrol and the owners and contractors.

Jim has managed all aspects of projects from land entitlement of business parks, overseeing scope work in engineering, geo-tech, environmental and architectural, to all aspects of ground up development and commercial construction focused primarily on office and industrial parks with some retail. Major projects include Carlsbad Ranch (Lego, NAMM, GIA), Encinitas Ranch and Encinitas Ranch Town Center, ViaSat’s first campus, Buena Park Mall and large projects for Solar Turbines and Raychem Corp.

Good things to know:

Jim enjoys golf, tennis, and watching his girls at their sports. Jim’s words to live by are “Good whiskey, good dog, good woman!”
